Characters: Elder Ponta
Elder Ponta is the leader of the Wormriders, a tribe of people that live in the Borderlands. Although they may seem primitive at first, Wormriders have learned to successfully domesticate different bio-engineered monsters. The Wormriders seem to hold more secrets though.

We only see Elder Ponta once throughout the game, when Mobo introduces Orta to him. For some reason, Ponta seems unimpressed by the fact that Orta is riding a dragon, the ultimate weapon of the Ancient Age.

Elder Ponta is able to read Orta's mind, and feels the hatred she carries towards the humanity and the world. When Orta tells him she was held captive by the Seekers, and was not going to be released until she was needed for war, Ponta and Mobo invite her to stay with the Wormriders. Although we can't be sure, I suspect Ponta may know a lot more about Orta's true nature. We don't find out anything more about the Wormriders though, so until we see a possible sequel to PD Orta, we won't get any answers to the questions about their civilization.
